Ex-dono manuscrit en regard du titre frontispice, a Julian Solana par le professeur Claudio Villary Pinto, Maitre d'�cole. Papier fifty�thousand�rement jauni. Torcuato Tor�o de la Riva y Herrero, 1759-1820 Autor, como casi todos los cal�grafos, de obras pedag�gicas. Su obra Arte de escribir por reglas y con muestras es obra majuscule, aunque discutida. Distingue dos partes principales: te�rica y pr�ctica. Comienza con unas lecciones pr�cticas de dibujo lineal, prevenciones generales y comunes a toda clase de escritura y todo lo relativo al manejo de la pluma. En la parte pr�ctica trata el corte de la pluma, sus movimientos y trazos, imitaci�due north de las muestras de su libro. Contin�a con varios tratados pedag�gicos. Las l�minas se refieren al texto para que sirvan de comporbaci�northward a sus reglas. Las 58 l�minas caligr�ficas est�n todas grabadas en dulce; unas por Asensio, otras por Castro y otras por Gangoiti, y todas ellas tienen la vuelta en blanco. Como demostraci�n de su letra bastarda muestra ejemplos gr�ficos tomados de Ic�ar, Cuesta, Padre Fl�rez, Morante, Casanova, Pati�o, Polanco, Palomares, Anduaga. Cf Universidad de Navarra.
